We are moving forward with the FEED engineering for the world's first green ammonium sulfate plant in Paraguay.

At NOVARGI, we are proud to announce that we are actively moving forward with the FEED activities for the Green Fertilizer Plant project in Buey Rodeo, Paraguay, to produce granular synthetic ammonium sulfate for sale in Paraguay and the region, thereby enhancing the country’s agricultural sovereignty through sustainable, local production.

An important milestone on our journey toward building the world’s first green ammonium sulfate plant, strategically located in Villeta, just a few kilometers from Asunción.

Why Paraguay?

Renewable and continuous energy thanks to the Itaipú Hydroelectric Plant

Strategic location with direct access to the Brazilian market

Economic stability and attractive investment incentives

Why does this project matter?

Production of over 280,000 tons/year of green ammonium sulfate

Elimination of 200,000 tons of CO₂ per year — equivalent to removing 2 million vehicles from the roads

Replacement of imports from distant regions with high-quality, sustainable local production

Creation of 150 direct jobs in the region

This fertilizer is a premium product specially designed and synthesized to support local and regional agriculture; it is not a low-quality industrial byproduct.

With over 22 years of experience in projects and solutions in energy infrastructure, petrochemicals, fertilizers, and the energy transition, this project marks a new milestone in the development of the company and the region. NOVARGI reaffirms its commitment to the decarbonization of agriculture and the economic development of Paraguay.

The path toward the Final Investment Decision (FID), scheduled for September 2026, is already underway.
